Curriculum
Module 1 — Diesel Diagnosis Fundamentals
- Diesel combustion theory and smoke analysis
- Compression, cranking, and no-start diagnosis
- Scan data and diesel-specific PIDs
Module 2 — Fuel Systems
- Low-pressure supply and filtration/water separation
- High-pressure common rail safety and testing
- Injector balance rates, return flow, and coding
Module 3 — Air, Exhaust & Cooling
- Turbocharger and VGT actuator diagnosis
- Charge air cooler and boost leak testing
- Cooling system, EGR cooler, and thermostat service
Module 4 — Emissions & ASE Review
- EGR system operation and soot-related faults
- DPF regeneration strategy and forced regen
- SCR/DEF system diagnosis and ASE A9 practice test
