Electrical faults are the most profitable and most misdiagnosed work in the shop. This course builds circuit-testing discipline from Ohm's law through voltage-drop testing, then covers battery, starting, charging, lighting, accessory, and module network diagnosis in the ASE A6 content areas.

Curriculum
Module 1 — Electrical Fundamentals
- Ohm's law, series and parallel circuits
- DMM, test light, and scope usage
- Wiring diagram interpretation and voltage drop
Module 2 — Battery, Starting & Charging
- Battery testing, AGM service, and parasitic draw
- Starter current draw and circuit testing
- Alternator output, ripple, and regulation faults
Module 3 — Lighting & Body Electrical
- Headlamp, signal, and interior lighting circuits
- Instrumentation, gauges, and warning systems
- Power accessories, horns, wipers, and defoggers
Module 4 — Networks & ASE Review
- CAN, LIN, and serial data architecture
- Diagnosing no-communication and U-codes
- ASE A6 practice test and review
