Brakes are the highest-liability system in the shop. This course covers hydraulic theory, drum and disc service, power assist diagnosis, and electronic brake control systems including ABS, traction control, and stability control, mirroring the ASE A5 content areas.

Module 1 — Hydraulic System
- Brake fluid types, contamination, and testing
- Master cylinder, lines, and valve diagnosis
- Bleeding procedures and pedal feel diagnosis
Module 2 — Drum & Disc Brakes
- Drum, shoe, and wheel cylinder service
- Rotor measurement, machining, and runout
- Caliper, pad, and hardware service
Module 3 — Power Assist & Parking Brake
- Vacuum and hydro-boost testing
- Electronic and manual parking brake service
- Brake warning lamp diagnosis
Module 4 — ABS, Stability Control & ASE Review
- Wheel speed sensor testing and scan data
- ABS modulator service and automated bleed
- Traction/stability control and ASE A5 practice test
